The family of First Sergeant Leonardo Hinojosa has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.
Leonardo retired from the US Army in 1981 and served during the Vietnam War. Among the awards and medals he received the Bronze Star Medal; Meritorious Service Medal; Army Commendation Medal (w/"V" Device & 3 Oak Leaf Clusters); Vietnam Service Medal (w/3 Bronze Service Stars); Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Good Conduct Medal (Clasp, Silver, 1 Loop); Drill Sergeant Identification Badge; National Defense Service Medal; and Expert Badge (Pistol). After his military service, First Sergeant Hinojosa worked for 22 years recruiting soldiers after their military service to earn their college degrees.
