The Patriot Guard has been requested by the family and the Navy to honor and participate with the escort of Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Michael Campbell on Wedneday (July 16). HM3 Campbell passed while on duty at Ft. Sam Houston and will depart San Antonio Internation Airport on Wednesday at 3:00pm, where he will be flown home to Utah to be laid to rest.
I will not have the time of the escort until tomorrow morning, after the CACO meets with the funeral home. Please check your email tomorrow afternoon/evening for mission information. Also, please note that if this escort timeframe conflicts with Alex Lozano’s service, then the active duty request will take priority as per the Patriot Guard mission statement. At this time though, I am trying to accommodate both missions, to where we can stand and honor Alex Lozano, and to ride and honor HM3 Michael Campbell.

The Patriot Guard has been invited by the family and the Navy to stand and honor Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class Michael Campbell on Wedneday (July 16). HM3 Campbell is Active Duty Navy, and passed away while on duty at Ft. Sam Houston, where he was stationed as a Combat Medic Instructor. This mission will start with an escort from Olinger-Saenz Funeral Home, where the Pariot Guard will move in LEO escorted procession to San Antonio International Airport. Once at the airport, a quick honor line will be established as HM3 Campbell is moved and prepared for his flight home to Utah, where he will be laid to rest. Utah PGR will be present when he arrives home. If available, please try to attend to honor one of our Active Duty Saliors. Thank you.
** Note: PGR members that are present to honor Alex Lozano, and wish to move to Olinger-Saenz, please check with PGR ride captain prior to the service, as those members of the Patriot Guard will move out after the church service starts and the flag line is retired. **
