MSG William "Bill/Bear" Robert Hart, 76, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, Twice Bronze Star Recipient, Harker Heights, TX
The family of Master Sergeant "Bear" Hart has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders in the Procession and Interment Service of their Loved One.
Bill proudly served the US Army in F Company, 75th Ranger Regiment; serving two tours in Vietnam and earning a Bronze Star with one Oak Leaf Cluster. His fellow soldiers referred to him as “Bear” Hart for his strength and bravery. He retired after 20 years of service at the rank of Master Sergeant. He then owned and operated Bill’s Harley Shop in Harker Heights for 18 years. Bill proudly served his community as a 32nd Degree Master Mason and Thrice Past Illustrious Master of the Mt Horeb Grand Lodge of Texas in Mahomet, TX. He was also a proud member of the General Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession from Heritage Funeral Home.
WX: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 7 AM. Cloudy, with a high near 69. South wind 5 to 15 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
