SGM Marvin Leon Cummings, US Army, Retired, WWII/Korea/Vietnam Veteran, Killeen, TX
The family of Sergeant Major Marvin Cummings has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.
He joined the US Army in 1945 and served in the South Pacific as a Military Policeman. He was transferred to Newport News, Virginia where he met and married Kathleen McKinney, moving with his family to France, Germany, Kansas and Texas. He served in WWII, the Korean War, and two tours in Vietnam. He was an active Mason and a member of VFW Chapter 9191. Flagline Establishment: 1255 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession.
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
