Sgt Marvin Presley, US Army, Korean War Veteran, Bronze Star Recipient X2, NO FAMILY, Harker Heights, TX
The presence of the Patriot Guard Riders has been requested at the Interment Service of Sergeant Marvin Presley.
Sergeant Presley recently passed away in a nursing home in Harker Heights. The home tried to find his family to no avail and he passed before they could even appoint a guardian for him. Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home in Temple is handling his funeral arrangements pro bono. They have contacted the Army and are expecting to have them at this interment to honor him. The PGR has been asked to receive his burial flag if no local friends can be found.

Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await Sergeant Presley's arrival.
WX: !!!HEAT ADVISORY!!! Sunny and hot, with a high near 103. South wind 5 to 10 mph.
Notes:
1. BE FLEXIBLE. If no local friends show up for Marvin's Interment, the Patriot Guard Riders will attend AS his family and friends.
2. !!!HEAT ADVISORY!!! Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
