SFC Jesus Garcia Trevino, 84, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, Bronze Star Recipient, OF Copperas Cove, TX
The family of "Jesse" Garcia has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Inurnment of their Loved One.
"Jesse" entered the US Army, January 9, 1951, at Camp Atterbury, MD as an infantryman and retired at Fort Hood TX December 1, 1977, as the Administrative Support Noncommissioned Officer, III Corps and Fort Hood, with the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC). During his 27 years of service; he served one tour in Germany, one tour in Korea and two tours in Viet Nam along with numerous stateside assignments. A special accomplishment from 1962 to 1964 was the honor to serve as a member of the Competition Rifle Team at Fort Knox KY, where he distinguished himself by being a "sharp shooter" earning him many awards and trophies. Jesse was also decorated with numerous medals and commendations including the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, and Combat Infantryman Badge.
