SFC Allen S McKenzie Jr, 81, US Army, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, Harker Heights Police & Fire Officer, OF Florence, TX
The family of Sergeant First Class Allen Mckenzie has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service and Interment of their Loved One.
Allen spent 27 years in the military retiring at the rank of SFC in 1976. He also was a member of the Harker Heights Fire Department and the Harker Heights Police Department. He was a very active member of the Abundant Life Church and enjoyed working with the children in the community as well as those in the church. Flagline Establishment: 1125 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and prepare to POSSIBLY participate in the procession. The decision will be made during the Funeral Service.
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery located off TX 195 just south of Killeen, TX (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
