HONOR MISSION
Major Frank Alan Di Muccio, 87, US Army, Retired, Korean War & Vietnam Veteran, Copperas Cove, TX

The family of Major Frank Alan Di Muccio has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service of their Loved One.

Frank served in both Korea and Vietnam and Retired with over 23 years service. In his early years he was a combat medic and after being commissioned he served in the Medical Service Corps as a hospital administer and later as the Surgeon General for III Corps. He was also a paratrooper and participated in three combat jumps in Korea. In his early years in Copperas Cove, Frank was involved in both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, 4-H, FFA, the Cove Saddle Club, and the Teen Center at the Holy Catholic Church. Once his children were grown he turned his focus to matters within the City of Copperas Cove. He was instrumental in the start up of the Economic Development Corporation as well as the Kempner Water Supply Corporation. He was also involved in the Lion's Club, the Military Affairs Committee, the Chamber of Commerce, the Cove Opry, Ogletree Gap, Rabbit Fest, and the Ft. Hood Officer's Club. Frank was always interested in protecting the rights of the people. In 1996 he contacted COL Bud Day and supported his fight against the government on behalf of military rights for medical benefits. Out of this fight, TRICARE for Life was born. He contacted REP John Carter about the inconsistencies with the processing of credit card transfers from point of sale terminals. Frank was a wealth of knowledge of the way the city was operated. He kept copies of all letters, newspapers, and prior events and was asked many times over the years to validate issues with his personal records. His full obituary may be found here: http://obits.dignitymemorial.com/dignity-memorial/obituary.aspx?n=Frank-Di+Muccio&lc=1796&pid=176981400&mid=6724174
