Maj Francis Leroy "Roy" Bowers, 77, US Air Force, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, Bronze Star Recipient, OF Cedar Park, TX
The family of Major Francis "Roy" Bowers has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Inurnment of their Loved One.
Roy graduated from the University of Illinois and proudly served his country in the US Air Force until he retired as a Major in 1981 after 21 years of service. Among other honors, he was awarded a Bronze Star for his work in the "Secret War" out of Thailand during the Vietnam War. He also worked for 13 years with the Texas Department of Transportation before retiring to spend more time with his family.
