CenTex Addendum to Austin Honor Mission
Sgt Glenn "Bud" Simmons, 85, US Air Force WWII Veteran, TX DPS Master Peace Officer & Justice of the Peace, OF Georgetown, TX
The family of Sergeant Glenn "Bud" Simmons has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Interment of their Loved One.
Bud had a distinguished career in law enforcement. He retired after 34 years from the Texas Department of Public Safety as a Master Peace Officer with the rank of Inspector (overseeing other inspectors). Bud then became Judge Simmons as Justice of the Peace for Pct 3 in Williamson County, then continued his law enforcement career as Executive Director of the Texas Police Association. Bud was as forthright and as direct as a man knew how to be. He was diplomatic yet his words carried the message that there was only one way to do things and that was the right way.
