SSgt Ronald P Young, US Marine Corps, Retired, Vietnam Veteran, OF Temple, TX
The family of Staff Sergeant Ronald Young has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Inurnment of their Loved One.
No obituary is available, however we spoke with Ronald's daughter. She explained that he enlisted in the Army at 15 and when the Korean War broke out, his mother told on him and he was discharged. When he was old enough, he joined the Marines and did serve in Korea, but it was after the war ended. He served in Vietnam during the war and the daughter explained that he “refused” his Purple Heart because he didn’t want his wife to know he had been hurt!
