CSM Larry Francis "K.O." Brown, 57, US Army, Retired, Iraq War Veteran, Legion of Merit & Bronze Stars Recipient (X2), Killeen, TX
The family of Command Sergeant Major Larry "K.O." Brown has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.
Larry enlisted in the US Army on June 6, 1978. While serving his country he received the following awards and citations: The Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (2nd award), He served his country proudly for 30 years and was honorably retired on December 31, 2008. After his military career, he worked as a Civil Service Employee for the Department of Human Resources at Ft Hood, Texas. Flagline Establishment: 1125 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession to the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 SH 195, Killeen, Texas 76542 (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
