CenTex Addendum to Austin Honor Mission
SGT Preston Scott Hartley, 31, US Army, Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, OF Powder Springs, GA
The family of Sergeant Preston Hartley has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One. This is the second half of SGT Hartley's mission, the first half being performed by the Austin PGR. If you wish to participate in Austin's portion, their mission is pasted below. Preston was part of the 1st Calvary Division of Ft Hood, serving two tours in Iraq and became a Sergeant. He enjoyed reading, bowling, and was proficient in Spanish, as well as learning to speak German, always wanting to learn more. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the Family from Ramsey Funeral Home in Georgetown.
WX: Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. South wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

Mr. Hartley served four years in the US Army, including two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Notes: Bring a bottle of water for yourself and one for a friend. This is a flag line only at the funeral home. Inurement at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery is scheduled for 2 pm the same day. There is no procession planned from Georgetown to Killeen.
