MAJ Horst "Butch" Cleveland, 79, US Army, Vietnam Vet, Purple Heart and Bronze Star, OF Temple, TX
The family of Major Horst "Butch" Cleveland has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.
Butch enlisted in the US Army in 1962 and served honorably for over twenty six years before retiring as a Major in 1986. During his time in the Army, He served as an infantryman, rotary wing pilot, and rotary wing instructor, as well as with the Special Forces as a Green Beret. Butch was deployed to Vietnam four times during which he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with 1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, as well as numerous commendations. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
