The family of Petty Officer Third Class Donald VonAchen has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One. For any members interested in attending the Austin portion of this mission, see their information posted at the bottom.
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 SH 195, Killeen, TX 76542 (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 59. East northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

Confirmed mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to participate in the funeral and burial services for Mr. Donald Leroy VonAchen. Mr. VonAchen served as a SeaBee in the US Navy from 1966 to 1968 including two Vietnam tours. He left the service as a Petty Officer 3rd class.
Date/Time: Monday, 11 March 2019. Funeral service at 8:30 am.
Location: LDS Church, 218 Serenada Dr, Georgetown, TX 78628. We will stage at the church.

Notes: Cage it if weather dictates. Following the start of the funeral service we will strike the flag line and standby to join a law enforcement escorted procession to Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen for the scheduled 11 am burial service. Upon arrival at the cemetery we will fall under the direction of the Centex PGR ride captain.
