The family of Master Sergeant Donald Marquardt has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One. Members who wish to attend the Austin portion of the mission, you may find staging time & location on the Austin Website at http://www.AusPGR.org
Donald was drafted into the US Army in 1960 and served tours of duty. Donald retired with Honors as a Master Sergeant in 1980 after serving twenty years, two months. Donald retired with several military medals to include the Bronze Star Medal and was a 100% service-connected veteran. After retiring, Donald maintained an active role of serving veterans in the States of Texas and Oklahoma. He served as VFW Post 8577 Commander in Copperas Cove, TX; Vice Commander of American Legion Post 349 in Copperas Cove, life time member and Chaplain of DAV Chapter 66 in Copperas Cove, President of Chapter 37 The Retired Enlisted Association in Enid, Oklahoma; Charter Board Member, and the Garfield County Veterans Association. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 1300. Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. North wind 10 to 15 mph.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
