CenTex Addendum to Austin Honor Mission
SGT Dennis "Randy" Slauenwhite, 70, US Army, Vietnam Veteran, Purple Heart/Bronze Star Recipient, OF McKinney, TX


The family of Sergeant Dennis "Randy" Slauenwhite has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One. Members who wish to attend the Austin portion of the mission, you may find staging time & location on the Austin Website at http://pgr.fojit.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=1610

Randy was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam from 1969-1970 and then again from 1971-1972. Randy served from 1967-1971 in total, and was a Life Member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart S42, and a Bronze Star Recipient.
Randy was Mason and an endowed member of Colorado Lodge 96 in Webberville, Texas. He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. His entire obituary may be found here: https://www.ramseyfuneral.com/obituary/dennis-randy-slauenwhite

Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 SH 195, Killeen, TX 76542 (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.

WX: Sunny, with a high near 73.

Notes:

1. Be at staging ON TIME.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
