SHORT NOTICE HONOR MISSION
CW4 Levi “Jim” Hebert, 93, US Navy/US Army, Retired, WWII/Vietnam Veteran, of Killeen, TX

The family of Chief Warrant Officer 4 Levi "Jim" Hebert has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.

At 17, Jim left Iota for San Diego, the Navy, and WWII. Upon completion of his assignment, he returned to Iota to pursue a higher education. Soon after his first year, he concluded the sedate life of college was not for him and entered the Army as an NCO. He served his country in the Korean Conflict, at Ft Campbell, and Ft Rucker. It was at Ft Rucker that he graduated flight school and earned the rank of Warrant Officer. James again had to leave behind his family as he flew during two tours of Vietnam. He and his family were stationed at various posts throughout the world until his retirement at Fort Hood in 1974. Sent to Mark Wells, DSC Austin Region:

Hi Mr Wells, sorry for the private message, but I couldn’t figure out how to post to the Patriot Guard Riders group. I’m not sure if these were you guys, but my grandpa was laid to rest in the central Texas cemetery on Thursday and you guys really gave him the honour he deserved. Can you pass on my sincerest love and thanks to your group on behalf of US Army CW3 Levi James Hebert

Thank you so much! I actually live overseas and couldn’t make it. I got the details from my parents. so this act of kindness and respect touched me more than you will know. Thankful you were there when I couldn’t be.
