PHM2 Gale Rorabaugh, 96, US Navy, WWII Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient, of Copperas Cove, TX
The family of Pharmacist Mate Second Class Gale Rorabaugh has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Procession of their Loved One.
When Gale heard the news about the attack on Pearl Harbor from his neighbor, Gale wanted to join the military to fight next day, but his father told him to graduate high school first. He obliged, then joined the Navy. He was present at D-Day in Normandy, and received several medals, including the Purple Heart, before he left the military in March of 1946.
