HONOR MISSION
MSG Blas Alberto Ojeda, 94, US Army, Medically Retired, Korea/Vietnam Veteran, Silver Star/Bronze Star/Purple Heart Recipient, of Killeen, TX
The family of Master Sergeant Blas Alberto Ojeda has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Procession and Committal Services of their Loved One.
Blas had the military life in his blood, so he joined the US Army in the 50s. He fought in two battles. In Korea he was injured and awarded with the Purple Heart, and in 1967 in Vietnam, he was injured and awarded with the Silver Star, Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. The injuries suffered during Vietnam changed his life completely, and he medically retired from the Army after seventeen years. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Mostly sunny, with a high near 97. South wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME and TOPPED OFF.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
3. A mask or face covering will be mandatory, due to the mandate from the State of Texas.

Today we had an amazing mission with a great turnout. We had thirteen people who attending the mission, and we welcomed Terry to his first mission and to the Patriot Guard Riders.
