SHORT NOTICE CenTex Addendum to Austin Honor Mission
MSG Charles Edward Lightfoot, Jr, 69, US Army/Army Reserve, Retired, OF Marble Falls, TX

The family of Master Sergeant Charles Edward Lightfoot Junior has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One. Members who wish to attend the Austin portion of the mission, you may find staging time & location on the Austin Website at http://pgr.fojit.com/forum/viewforum.php?forum_id=3

Charles was drafted during the Vietnam War and elected to join the Army which he ended up making it a life-long career, and retired as a Master Sergeant in December 2010. He did multiple tours throughout the world during his career, and was a dedicated soldier who believed in the goal of taking care of the mission, and taking care of his people. In 1981, Charlie decided to go the civilian route, but continued in the National Guard and Reserves. He returned to active duty in 2003, following our great nation’s attack by terrorists in 2001. His last active duty assignment was working with the Wounded Warrior Program at Fort Hood, Texas. He was dedicated to helping soldiers transitioning to civilian life from active duty deployments. Following his retirement in 2010, he continued to serve as a peer-to-peer mentor to help soldiers and their families receive the assistance they needed.
