CSM Raymond Upp, 94, US Army, Retired, WWII/Korean/Vietnam Veteran, Bronze Star and Purple Heart Recipient, OF Copperas Cove, Texas
The family of Command Sergeant Major Raymond Upp has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Raymond served in the United States Army for 35 years, and retired as a Command Sergeant Major in 1979. He fought in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. During his service, he earned the Bronze Star Medal with 2d Oak Leaf Cluster, a Purple Heart, a Combat Infantryman Badge, along with many others. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Sunny, with a high near 78. Light south southeast wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
3. A mask or face covering will be mandatory, due to the mandate from the State of Texas.
