PFC Saadi A Ferris II, 89, US Marine Corps, Korea Veteran, OF Georgetown, TX
The family of Private First Class Saadi A Ferris II has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One. Saadi served in in the US Marine Corps, 1950 – 1952, and saw combat in the Korean war. He was discharged as a PFC. He then had a distinguished career in law enforcement, including as an officer for the Austin Police Department and as the Chief of Police for League City, Texas. Upon his return to Austin, he served the Governor of Texas, Dolph Briscoe, in the Criminal Justice Department. He concluded his career serving as the Chief Investigator for the State Bar of Texas before retiring in 1995. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 1300. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
