PVT Jerry Leroy Osborn, 74, US Army, UNACCOMPANIED Veteran, of Temple, TX
The staffs of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery and Hewett-Arney Funeral Home have requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of this Unaccompanied Veteran.
Private Jerry Leroy Osborn served in the US Army from November 2, 1965 to March 9, 1967. Jerry Leroy Osborn, age 74, of Temple passed from this life during the morning hours of Tuesday, January 31st, 2023, at the VA Hospital. He was born on the 30th day of October 1948 in Houston. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the Veteran.
WX: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 65.
Notes:
1. Be at staging ON TIME.
2. Be prepared to volunteer as pallbearers, if asked by the Cemetery Director.
3. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
