SP4 Richard Gail Okner, 76, US Army, Vietnam Veteran, of Lorena, TX
The family of Specialist Richard Gail Okner has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Richard entered the Army on January 26, 1965 as a personnel specialist, and attended Airborne School. He spent a year overseas in Vietnam, and left the service on January 25, 1968. He earned several medals during his service, including the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal w/device, Two Overseas service bars, parachutist badge, marksman badge (rifle M-14), air medal, and a good conduct medal.

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Widely scattered showers or a thunderstorm early. Then partly cloudy. High around 90F. Winds SE at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 30%.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
