SHORT NOTICE HONOR MISSION
Sgt Rita Bennett, 62, US Marine Corps, Veteran, of Killeen, TX
The family of Sergeant Rite Bennett has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.
Rita served as a Logistics Specialist for five years in the United States Marine Corps. Not only was Rita an expert rifleman, but she was also the only female in her platoon. She was Honorably Discharged after earning the rank of Sergeant. Rita was awarded the Rifle Expert Badge, Certificate of Achievement, Good Conduct Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon. Flagline Establishment: 1025 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession. All Non-Riders will report to the cemetery and wait for the procession.
Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 SH 195, Killeen, TX 76542 (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)
Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Sunny and hot, with a high near 103. Heat index values as high as 108. South southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

1. Be at stagingS ON TIME.
2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
