SFC Francis Clark, 75, US Army, Retired, First Responder, of Georgetown, TX

The family of Sergeant First Class Francis Clark has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.

Francis started his lifetime of service with the St Lucia Fire Service, Fireman #177 after gradation in 1962, and also went to school and became a graduate of the Regional Police Training Academy in Barbados, West Indies in 1966. Soon after this, Francis joined the United States Army on October 31, 1973, serving a total of twenty two years in the service and had many deployments during his tenure in the United States Army until he retired on July 31, 1995 as a Sergeant First Class at Fort Hood, Texas. After retiring from the Army, Francis began to work for Bell County Sheriff Department as a Correctional Officer.

Francis was awarded Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (7th Award), National Defense Service Medal, SouthWest Asia Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Star (BSS), Noncommissioned Officer's Professional Development Ribbon with Numeral Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Sharpshooter Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Rifle Bar, Marksman Marksmanship Qualification Badge with Pistol Bar, Driver and Mechanic Badge with Driver-W Bar. Flagline Establishment: 1025 +/- Once the Funeral Service begins; we will strike the flagline and prepare to participate in the procession.

Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 SH 195, Killeen, TX 76542 (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.

WX: Sunny and hot, with a high near 107. South southwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Notes:

1. Be at stagingS ON TIME.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.

3. All PGR Non-Riders will report to the cemetery and wait for the procession.
