MSG Steven "Stevie" Jaramillo, 66, US Army, Retired, Gulf War Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient, of Copperas Cove, TX
The family of Master Sergeant Steven Jaramillo has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral and Committal Services of their Loved One.
Stevie enlisted in the United States Army in September 1976 and retired as a Master Sergeant in March 1997. He was stationed in Germany, Fort Bliss and Fort Hood. He served as a Tank Platoon Sergeant in the Persian Gulf war where he was wounded and received the Purple Heart medal. Some of Stevie’s military decorations include the Purple Heart medal, Kuwait Liberation medal, and Rifle and Pistol Expert marksman badges. He was a lifetime member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Stevie retired from the Army on a Friday, and on Monday he was working at the Close Combat Tactical Training center on Fort Hood where he trained soldiers over the next twenty one years. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
WX: Mostly sunny, with a high near 54. North wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
