MAJ William "Bill" Crossan II, 74, US Army, Retired, of Harker Heights, TX
The family of Major William "Bill" Crossan II has requested the presence and participation of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Funeral Service of their Loved One.
After graduation from the University of Delaware, Bill was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the US Army and dedicated the next twenty years of his life to serving his country. Bill began his military career as an Air Defense Artillery Officer before transitioning into the Aviation Branch, and attended the US Army Aviation School at Fort Rucker, Alabama, where he graduated first in his class and was awarded his Army Aviator wings in June 1975. Bill’s military career took him throughout the United States and into Germany with A Company 3d Aviation Battalion (Combat) (3dABC) and culminated as Operations Officer for the 502d Aviation Battalion at Fort Hood. With the 502d, Bill saw multiple deployments and flew several thousand hours in various Army Aircraft. His career concluded with his retirement in August 1991.
