SFC Jeffery Freeland, 62, US Army, Retired, Gulf War Veteran, Bronze Star Recipient


The family of Sergeant First Class Jeffery Freeland has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.

While serving in the Army, Jeffery earned many awards to include the Bronze Star Medal, Army Achievement Medal (7th Award), Army Achievement Medal (7 Award), Valorous Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal (2nd Award), Southwest Asia Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Star (BSS), and the Non-Commissioned Professional Development Ribbon with 3 Bronze Star. He retired after a successful career of twenty three years of service in the United States Army with the rank of Sergeant First Class. Staging Location: The cul-de-sac between the Walk of Heroes and the Memorial Shelter at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 SH 195, Killeen, TX 76542 (http://tinyurl.com/CenTexVetsCeme)

Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.

WX: A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. North northwest wind around 10 mph.

Notes:

1. Be at staging ON TIME.

2. Hydrate well prior, bring water for yourself and a buddy and dress with consideration of the weather conditions.
