MSG Jose Perez-Suris, US Army, Retired, Global War on Terror Veteran, of Harker Heights, TX
The family of Master Sergeant Jose Perez-Suris has requested the presence of the Patriot Guard Riders at the Committal Service of their Loved One.
Jose's dream was to improve his life by joining the US Army and becoming a soldier like his grandfather was. Jose joined the Army in 1994, and graduated quarter master school as a 92 Alpha and was sent to his first duty station in Germany. After many years of sacrifices and deployments in his Army career, he decided to retire after twenty years in service as a Master Sergeant. He was a dedicated and well-disciplined person and never complaint about doing different challenges he has faced in his life. As a result of his dedicated service, he was awarded five meritorious service medals, eight Army commendation medals, three meritorious unit awards, the Afghanistan Campaign medal with one campaign star, and the Iraq Campaign Medal with four campaign stars. Since he was used to the Military lifestyle, Jose decided to work as a supply specialist as a civilian in Fort Cavazos, TX. Setup & Briefing: Upon clearance and at the direction of the Ride Captain, we will move to the shelter, set up the flags, be briefed and await arrival of the procession.
